The ETHS Athletic Department supports a broad range of high school teams that encourage our student-athletes to develop their skills and character to their full potential. Athletics, as an integral part of the overall educational process, is uniquely positioned to enhance a well-rounded ETHS education. ETHS pursues excellence and equity in all of its programs. With twelve gyms including historic Beardsley Gym, two swimming pools, a designated gymnastics training center, three weight rooms, a fieldhouse, outdoor track, four baseball and softball diamonds, eleven outdoor tennis courts and eight athletic fields including legendary Memorial Stadium, Evanston's athletic facilities have few rivals.īut more than the championships and the facilities, the driving force behind Evanston Athletics is the commitment of our coaches and the effort of our athletes. Home to 36 IHSA State Championships and countless Top 10 finishes, the ETHS Athletic program is regarded as one of the best in the state of Illinois.
